Ormi enters its next chapter: Leadership change to scale the future of Blockchain data

Ormi announces a leadership transition as the company enters its next phase, focusing on scaling real-time, reliable blockchain data infrastructure for financial systems, DeFi, and AI-driven applications.

Ormi enters its next chapter: Leadership change to scale the future of Blockchain data

Since day one, Ormi has been built on a simple conviction: blockchain data should be fast, accurate, and easy to access. Not just available. Not just correct. But reliable, real-time, and ready for the systems that depend on it.

That conviction has carried Ormi from an ambitious idea to the infrastructure layer behind some of the most demanding workloads in crypto. And as the industry evolves, Ormi is evolving with it.

Today, we're announcing a leadership transition designed to sharpen our focus for what comes next.

  • Paul Murphy is stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer, after serving as COO.
  • Victor Fei, our founder and former CEO, is transitioning into the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Why now

Ormi is no longer an early-stage company proving out an idea. We are operating an infrastructure that supports the largest DeFi protocols, trading platforms, AI agents, and stablecoin issuers in the market.

The expectations have changed, and the stakes are higher. The systems we support are increasingly tied to financial applications, mission-critical data platforms, and a new generation of AI-driven products that depend on blockchain data being correct, consistent, and instantly available.

Scaling into this next phase calls for a different approach and a leadership structure built around it.

Paul Murphy as CEO

Paul brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling large financial and data systems across global markets. His background spans trading infrastructure, analytics platforms, and real-time systems used by Wall Street institutions, where reliability is a baseline requirement.

That experience maps directly to what Ormi is becoming.

As blockchain data moves toward mass adoption, the demands placed on it begin to look a lot like the demands placed on traditional financial infrastructure: trust, consistency, and the ability to support systems that operate at serious scale.

As CEO, Paul will focus on ensuring Ormi continues to meet that standard across operations, partnerships, and global growth.

Victor Fei as CTO

For Victor, this transition is a return to where Ormi began.

He founded the company with a clear mission: to make blockchain data accessible to everyone. That mission remains the same, but developing the technology on an exponential scale.

The hardest problems in blockchain data live in the infrastructure itself. Indexing, synchronization, reorg handling, and query performance are not separate challenges to be solved one at a time. They are a single, interconnected system. Getting that system right is what determines whether institutions can rely on it.

Victor has been at the center of building that system from the ground up. As CTO, he will now focus entirely on advancing Ormi's technology: the architecture, performance, and reliability of our indexing and data platforms, including how our systems stay real-time and how data can be trusted by our users.

This marks a return to the fundamentals that drew him to start Ormi in the first place.

The road ahead

Ormi has always been a user-first company. That does not change as the industry develops.

With Paul leading growth and execution, and Victor focused entirely on technology, we are aligning the organization around what matters most at this stage: building infrastructure that holds up under real-world conditions.

The mission continues: Make blockchain data accurate, at scale, and in real-time.

About Ormi

Ormi is the next-generation data layer for Web3, purpose-built for real-time, high-throughput applications like DeFi, gaming, wallets, and on-chain infrastructure. Its hybrid architecture ensures sub-30ms latency and up to 4,000 RPS for live subgraph indexing.

With 99.9% uptime and deployments across ecosystems representing $50B+ in TVL and $100B+ in annual transaction volume, Ormi is trusted to power the most demanding production environments without throttling or delay.
